On weekends, people of various backgrounds in Montréal, leave the basement with weapons made of nerf, head to the mountain, and beat each other on a battle field mere meters from hoards of dancing hippies.
I do enjoy watching and pretending I'm a wandering peasant in old timey days. I don't have an outfit.

Do they call it "Hack & Slash"? That's what the boys I grew up with called it.
I'm not sure what they call it, but this isn't just some kids screwin' around. It goes from little kids all they way to doughy middle aged types.
It all seems quite organized with rules and classes. The spectacle is really worth seeing and I would rather watch that than Cirque de Soleil, which I vow never to see.
